About The Role

Hippo is looking for a Public Sector Client Partner who can operate at a strategic level and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction for the client organisations we serve.

As a growth-focused and commercially aware expert in your field, you’ll be overseeing the management of client relationships, account growth and commercials. You’ll be working alongside Delivery Partners to manage and resolve delivery issues for your customers.

You will be working in the Business Development team, collectively accountable for the existing customer base, delivering growth and mitigating risks to the Hippo business.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for extending our reach in existing clients, pitching to new clients and developing our network of Hippo advocates in these organisations. You will also be the voice of the customer internally to the Hippo business, advocating improvements to meet your customer's needs.

Client Relationship Management

  • Curate and extend our network of advocates amongst buyers and influencers within the accounts you are responsible for.
  • Curate and extend your network of advocates within target organisations.
  • Build trust with the customer to identify account risks and opportunities.

Account Growth

  • Create a credible account strategy, vision and plan for your customer 
  • Work with buyers to understand issues they face and how Hippo services could be used to solve those issues. We sell consultatively and value curiosity, delivery credibility and integrity.
  • Deliver an account growth target with good visibility of a predictable pipeline of deals that are a good fit for Hippo’s strategy.
  • Input into the Key Account Marketing strategy.

People Management

  • Influence the delivery teams to ensure that the client's aspirations are met/exceeded.
  • Be the natural point of escalation for stakeholder issues within the client.
  • Have a calm and balanced approach to resolving disputes.

Skills and experience that you need

  • Must have worked as a Client Partner role in Central Government (ministerial/non ministerial departments) across delivery programs in a consulting environment
  • Experience defining pricing models including rates, margins, costs and forecasts
  • Experience creating proposals and/or contributing to bids/rfis/rfps
  • Experience in defining/contributing to commercial contract content to support the delivery call off’s/sows
  • Experience of delivering an account target
  • Experience of creating and delivering successful account plans
  • Collaborative mindset and approach, comfortable with cross-functional working to achieve targets and positive outcomes
  • Proven experience of diligent, accurate pipeline forecasting
  • Experience managing commercial engagements and ensuring margins/finances are in line with objectives and projections

This role can be based out of any of our office locations with a requirement to work in an office (client site or Hippo office) 2-3 days per week.
